How did you join ‘Agnidahan’?
Ghanshyam Lamichhaneji called after returning from the shooting of ‘Ghampani’. He said that we are making a film, we have to work. I believe that there is no ‘witch’. People have mental illness. Not recognizing that disease, it is called ‘witch’ or other names. At first, if a person fell ill, doctors and dhamijankris could not recognize his illness while performing jharphuk or treatment. After not recognizing the disease, they started calling it ‘witch’.
In your opinion, are there really witches in the society?
There is a scientific aspect to everything. Earlier, when women were mentally ill, they used to take them to Dhamijankri and doctors. No one could tell that the woman had a mental illness. And instead of what to say, he used the word ‘witch’. Especially in women, ‘witch’ is not a problem, they have mental illness. Dhamizhakri and the doctor did not know what the patient was.
Why are women being accused of witchcraft?
Witchcraft is something created by people themselves. Everything is inside man, but his mind could not recognize it. When the mind cannot understand what kind of illness a person is, they are accused of being a ‘witch’. During the treatment of mental illness, they are subjected to many tortures. That is wrong.
