Jurmurayo Karma Band along with Kutumb will be buzzing in Kirtipur

Kathmandu. Popular bands Karma and Kutumb are going to perform in Kirtipur on November 22. These two popular bands are going to give a musical performance with the slogan ‘Ekai Swarma Kirtipur’.

This concert of Karma Band will be a comeback after a long time. According to the organizer Adi Group, more than 15,000 spectators are expected to participate in the courtyard of Laboratory Secondary School.

It is said that the audience will be able to watch Karma’s famous songs from his 3-decade-long musical journey and a live performance of Kutumb’s folk tunes. According to the release, traditional dances and tableaus reflecting different castes and Newari culture will also be presented.

The concert aims to introduce Kirtipur as a cultural and touristic destination at the international level. Karma Band started its musical journey in 2004 from Kirtipur.

Karma Band is known for the songs Hukka Mero, Khen Hola Ghar, Ko Hau Tu, Chani Mele, Mauntama, Yani Maya, Keti Kahi, Suparidana. Karma Band’s specialty is a successful blend of folk and rock. Mixing Nepali folk style with western rock tunes has given the listeners a unique experience. The band has given a special place to Newari culture and tradition in the music.

Established in 2004, Kutumb has contributed to the internationalization of Nepali folk tunes. Traditional tunes have been presented in a modern style through the use of Nepali folk musicians. Traditional Nepali instruments such as madal, bansuri, sarangi, dholak, and tungna are used in Kutumbu’s music.

Karma Band is preparing for a national and international tour soon. SQ of Adigroup Pvt Ltd will manage all Karma Band concerts and tours.
