Rights of Tulsi Ghimire’s ‘Pahad’ bought by Seven Seas and Banktes, shooting from 3rd Jan

Kathmandu. The distribution rights of the film ‘Pahad’ which is going to be directed and produced by Tulsi Ghimire has been sold. The Nepalese rights of this social drama film have been bought by Banktes Entertainment and the overseas rights by Seven Seas.

Director Ghimire informed that the filming date has also been decided along with the distributor. According to him, the shooting will start from January 3rd. Shooting will be done in Kathmandu, Gorkha and Mumbai in India.

The lineup of artists has also been completed. Madankrishna Shrestha, Bipin Karki, Varsha Raut, Sunil Thapa, Rabindra Singh Baniyan and Arun Chhetri will star in the film.

Before this, Bansuri, Kusume Rumal, Lahure, Injusti, Koseli, Chino, Doi Thopa Angi, Deuta, Dakshina, Mitjeo, Rahar, Sacrifice, Darpanchaya, Sait, Lahna, Dui Kinara, Swarg, Darpanchaya 2 are his hit films.

Ghimire is also telling ‘Pahad’ his dream project. This film tells the story of the mountain being left behind when the youth power goes abroad. The current government tells the youth to stay in the country. But the society tells you to go abroad and earn money’ Director Ghimire said about the plot, ‘Those who go abroad and work are called successful. Those who have returned from outside also look disappointed. What to do especially in the country? We are going to present this story in a timely manner.’

This film is going to be produced and directed by Tulsi under the banner of Bhagyaratna Films. The budget is Rs 3.5 crore. Distributor Manoj Rathi said that the film is ready to be released in May. ‘We are preparing to confirm the date only after the shooting’ Rathi said, ‘We are making this as the latest grand film of Nepali films.’
