Kathmandu. President Ramchandra Paudel will present the National Film Award at a ceremony to be held at Sheetal Niwas today. The awards to be organized by the Film Development Board will be distributed in 8 categories.
A film worker who has contributed to the development and promotion of domestic films will be awarded a long service award with 3 lakh 75 thousand cash. 50,000 relief will be given to the family of one person who lost his life while carrying the reel. 11 filmmakers will be awarded certificates.
The film that wins the special film award will get a prize of Rs 2 lakh for subtitling. Films and filmmakers who excel in the main 8 categories will also get 25,000 in cash. 8 categories including Best Film, Director, Actor, Actress, Musician, Tribal Film are covered.
