The ‘Grand Jury’ winning film at Cannes will be screened at the Human Rights Festival in Kathmandu

Kathmandu. The ‘Lineup’ of the Nepal Human Rights International Film Festival has been announced. The festival has published a list of films in the categories of documentary, short, animation and fiction.

According to the organizers, 47 films from 23 countries including Nepal have been selected. At the festival, ‘All We Imagine as Light’ by Payal Kapdia, winner of the Grand Jury Prize, will be screened at the world-renowned Cannes Film Festival.

‘The Man Who Couldn’t Remain Silence’ won the Short Section Award, ‘An Outrun’ won the Short Section Award at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival, ‘Anar Dana’ won the Generation K Plus Award at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival, ‘Otit’ was selected in Berlin. Films have also been selected for the competition. The organizers of the festival said that 9 documentaries including ‘How to Please’ have been selected in the international short documentary competition.

The Human Rights Film Center established in 2009 has been regularly holding festivals for the promotion and screening of films related to human rights. The center is also organizing various interactions and conferences for the advocacy of human rights.
