Kathmandu. A new cinema hall Friends Cinemas has opened in Butwal from Friday. The hall with a capacity of 222 seats is in the Singh Complex at Amarpath.
Ashish Tamang, Pradeep Dhami and Pushkar Ghimire, who are also active in film distribution, have invested in this hall, which has been operated by Dharan’s Friends Cinemas as a second chain. The hall will be operated by Royal Cine Hub Pvt Ltd.
Tamang, one of the operators, said that they have brought the hall into operation with new management, state-of-the-art technology and service facilities. He said that on the occasion of the opening of the hall, tickets were fixed at 150 rupees for the first week.
It is said that the ticket rates for morning shows, Tuesdays and Wednesdays will be lower than other days. Up to 6 shows can be run daily.
Along with operating the hall, the team active in film distribution has distributed films including ‘Farki Farki’, ‘Khusma’ and ’12 Villages’ through Kuber Cine Distribution. From now on, there are preparations to bring films like ‘Oonko Sweeter’, ‘Balidan’, ‘Resham Firiri’ to the audience. There is a plan to expand the franchise of Friends Cinemas to other parts of the country.
