Kathmandu. For the last 6 months, the audience has not been able to see Dayahang Rai on the big screen. After the release of ‘Gaon Ingai Bato’, Dayahang is busy producing dramas rather than films.
His upcoming film ‘Karsang’ is ready for a nationwide release on 26th December. Earlier, he was seen in the character of Rai in ‘Gaon Ingai Bato’, Magar in ‘Gharzwain’ and Limbu in ‘Jari’ and in ‘Karsang’ he is playing the role of a person from the Sherpa community.
Through the character of Dayahang, the audience expects that it will be easier to understand the culture, geography and environment of that community. The public teaser has also presented the characterization and context wonderfully.
Dayahang has played the role of Jhankri from the Sherpa community in the film. A financially poor character whose dream is to fulfill the family’s dream. Due to poverty, he has to struggle with family and society.
Debutant director Yam Sherpa said that the film is getting enthusiastic response from the teaser. He said that the audience liked the culture and relationship that the film raised through the teaser.
‘Especially the culture of the community we have shown. The audience is loving it. Director Sherpa said that the story of the Sherpa community, which is rarely seen in films, can be seen.
In the teaser, not only Dayahang Rai, but also Jitu Nepal’s character is shown. In the film, Jeetu Nepal’s husband and wife’s stress of not having children is covered. It has a story about the rural tradition of sarsapati working, the extreme poverty of not being able to fulfill the dream of a child who wants to wear new clothes.
In ‘Karsang’, which is Sherpa’s directorial debut, the story is also written by the director himself. The film has debut actress Srijana Ninglekhu, Diya Maske, Buddhi Tamang in top roles. Srishti Gautam, Doma Hyolmo, Prem Lopchan, Surveer Pandit, Kavita Ale, Karma Sherpa, Choki Sherpa, Jabhandeep Gautam, Bimal Puri, Dilip Pant, Chhiring Sherpa, Pawan Kumar Gole, Amrit Sherpa are also acting.
The film is produced by Yarsa Films and Purushottam Pradhan Films. Purushottam is a famous cinematographer.
