Kathmandu. The film ‘Emilia Perez’ has been nominated in the 2025 Golden Globe Awards in the most 10 categories. This film has dominated the public nomination list.
Directed by Jacques Audiard, the film is a musical drama based on the plot of drug cartel. Netflix has also bought its streaming rights during the recent Cannes Film Festival.
The film is nominated in the ‘Musical or Comedy’ category of Best Film. Brady Kobetel’s ‘The Brutalist’ is on the list with the second most nominations in seven categories. ‘Conclave’ is nominated in 6 categories, Anora 5 and Substance 5.
Director Audiard, Joy Saldana and Selena Gomez supporting actress, Carla Sofia Gasson actress, screenplay, original and other categories, the film is also nominated.
Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande of ‘Wicked’ are also nominated. Angelina Jolie, Hugh Grant, Timothée Chalamet, Sebastian Stan, Demi Moore, Pamela Anderson, Kate Winslet and Selena Gomez are also nominated.
Overall, Netflix has dominated this year’s Golden Globes nominations. Netflix is nominated in 36 categories including 13 categories for film and 23 categories for television. A-Twenty Four is nominated in 12 categories. Searchlight and Universal are nominated in the same 9-9 categories.
The 82nd Golden Globes will be held on January 6, 2025.
