Kathmandu. American pop star Taylor Swift has set a new record in world music. His famous ‘Eras Tour’ has become the highest grossing music tour in the history of music.
By the end of the tour on Monday, more than two billion tickets had been sold worldwide, according to The New York Times. It is mentioned that this earnings is the first record held by any genre of music, any era and any artist.
Taylor broke Coldplay’s record. Coldplay’s ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour’ started in 2022 and is still ongoing. Billboard magazine mentioned that there is a difference of 900 million dollars between the earnings of these two. It has also been revealed that Taylor’s ‘Eras Tour’, which lasted for 21 months, was attended by more than one million viewers.
Eras Tour started in March 2024 from Arizona, which lasted for more than 3 hours. The last concert was held at BC Place Stadium in Vancouver, Canada.
