Kathmandu. Comedian Hikmat Mahara, who became popular with ‘Comedy Champion’ Season 2, passed away in a road accident.
On Tuesday night, on the Bhimdatta Highway in Godavari Municipality-4, Godavari, Kailali, the motorcycle number 2 P 9117 he was driving collided with a truck stopped on the road.
District Police Office Kailali said that Mahara, who was seriously injured, was taken to Seti Provincial Hospital for treatment and died during treatment. The truck driver has been detained by the police.
30-year-old Mahara Shuklaphanta, who became very popular in the second season of ‘Comedy Champion’, was a resident of Municipality-11 Kaluwapur Bansah. He entered the top 4 in that reality show. In Comedy Champion, Mahara gave a strong comic performance on social issues.
The show’s director Vishal Bhandari, comedians Himesh Pant, Maxam Gaudel, Bharatmani Paudyal and others have expressed their condolences on his death.
