‘My Voice Universe’ and ‘My Dance Universe’ second series announced

Kathmandu. The TV singing competition ‘Mero Voice Universe’ and the second series of ‘Mero Dance Universe’, which has the highest prize money, have announced the presenters and the jury.

In a press conference held on Saturday, Dilli Adhikari, president of the organizing organization Intra Nepal Welfare and Support Foundation of America, said that this singing and dancing competition was organized with the aim of maintaining mutual harmony between the Nepalese people scattered around the world and keeping the Nepali language and culture alive among them.

He said, ‘We have tried to promote Nepali art, culture and language through this program. For this reason, we have made it mandatory to present Nepali culture and art. This time it will be more magnificent than the previous series.’

He said that the winner of both the competitions will get Rs 1 crore, the runners-up will get Rs 20 lakh and the second runner-up will get Rs 10 lakh along with various other prizes. In the ceremony, it was informed that singer Deep Shrestha, musician Suresh Adhikari, singer Anju Pant, Trishna Gurung, singer Pushpan Pradhan will play the role of judges in ‘My Voice Universe’.

‘Mero Dance Universe’ has actress Mithila Sharma, actor Dilip Rayamazhi, dance director Shankar Visi, Kiran Thapa and actress Shilpa Maske as judges. Broadcaster Naresh Bhattarai, actress Reema Vishwakarma, comedian Raja Rajendra Pokharel, former Miss Nepal Namrata Shrestha are the hosts of the program.

It was informed that ‘Mero Voice Universe’ will be directed by Suresh Poudel and ‘Mero Dance Universe’ will be directed by Mousumi Gurung. The auditions for both the competitions which will be broadcasted on Nepal Television will start from January 25, 2025. Auditions for America and Canada will be held on January 25 and 26 in Columbus, Ohio, February 15 and 16 in London, Portugal, Lisbon in Portugal, Hong Kong and Tokyo in Japan.

Auditions will be held on February 22 and 23 in Dubai, UAE, Doha, Qatar, Baikal, Thailand, Sydney, Australia, Pokhara, Kaski, Nepal. Auditions will be held in Nepalgunj, Mumbai, India on March 1 and 2, Siliguri, India on March 8 and 9, Damak, Jhapa on March 15 and 16, and Kathmandu on March 29 and 30. Actress Mithila Sharma, one of the judges, said that this competition gave a platform to talent.

She said, ‘This is a great opportunity for those who see their future in Nepali song and dance. It is working to make the dreams of talents scattered around the world come true along with the promotion of art and culture. I am very excited to join this family decisively.’
