Kathmandu. A new song ‘Dhamilo Rang Ranipokhari’ in the words of Nirbhikjung Rayamazhi has been released. The song has Saurabh Dhakal’s voice and Bhavindra Kunwar’s music.
The song talks about the suffering and cost of labor experienced by the common people while building ponds, palaces etc. in different places. Nirbhik said that he made a song by rewriting the poem titled ‘Ranipokhri’ from the collection of poems ‘Tysari ta kachi sochien’.
“Songs have been made about river civilization and water all over the world,” he said, “Pokhri is also a form of river civilization. In the song, we have tried to use ponds, lakes, wells, etc. not only in Kathmandu, but everywhere as symbols.’
The song ‘Nirbhikjung Rayamazhi’ has been released on YouTube channel.
