Kathmandu. The famous K-pop band Instar’s singer and DJ N-A-Song has been sentenced to eight years in prison for the accident. A 50-year-old delivery man was killed in a collision with the vehicle he was driving.
According to the South Korean media, the Supreme Court has given the sentence on December 10. She was found guilty in the incident in which the man died due to the collision of the Mercedes-Benz SUV driven by the singer A-Song.
In the hearing held in September, Yesong made a statement that she plans to give up her music career. He was sentenced to 10 years in the first case for fleeing the scene without helping the victim.
His prison sentence was reduced after he came to the victim’s family expressing remorse for the incident. The prosecution had initially argued that he should be sentenced to 15 years in prison.
The lawyer of 24-year-old A-Song, who is also a DJ, said that the singer accepted the charge. She was driving under the influence of alcohol.
Yesong has also stated in the court statement that she has gone through financial stress. At that time, I was in financial crisis due to lack of bookings. I was in an important meeting when I had a problem with my livelihood’, she said in the statement.
