Kathmandu. A few days ago, actor Kedar Ghimire had said that he was getting more than 5 million rupees from his latest film. He did not disclose the amount but said that the producer had offered him that amount.
This is also natural because Ghimire is the ‘demanded’ actor of recent times. If this claim is true, Ghimire is the most expensive actor of recent times. Currently, there is a discussion about the salary of Ghimire in the domestic film industry.
In this regard, actor Jitu Nepal, who has collaborated with Ghimire for a long time, has expressed his happiness that Ghimire has become a popular artist. In a conversation with some media, he said that he was happy about this.
‘We used to pay 300 rupees to Kedar when he performed Gitanjali,’ he remembered, ‘at that time we used to pay even that much money. I am happy that Kedar is the most expensive artist today.’ A few days ago, Jitu, who was a guest on a comedy show, was questioned in this regard by a journalist.
Jitu’s argument is that he does not attach importance to the salary. ‘What will be remembered in the future is the work, not the salary’, he argues, ‘I don’t equate art with salary. Only the work I have done will be seen in the days to come. I don’t see how much money I took. That’s why we artists work for works. This is my opinion.’
Jeetu and Kedar recently collaborated in some series of ‘Chakkapanja’. Jeetu is currently busy promoting ‘Karsang’ which is scheduled to be released on 26th December. Kedar has signed Kangaroo, Maitighar, Magne Raja. After finishing the shooting of ‘Jerry Untop’ a few days ago, he is going to America to participate in a film award.
