In the Oscar shortlist, ‘Emilia Perez’ is the most in 6 categories, ‘Wicked’ in 4 categories

Kathmandu. The shortlist nominations for the 97th Oscar Awards have been announced. The Academy of Arts and Sciences announced the shortlist nominations in 10 categories on Wednesday morning.

This year’s awaited film ‘Emilia Perez’ has been shortlisted in the most six categories, including makeup, sound, original score, international feature and two songs (El Mal and Me Camino).

Universal’s musical film ‘Wicked’ has been nominated in 4 categories. Oscar announced the shortlist for short film, documentary feature, documentary short, international feature, live action short, makeup and hair styling category on Wednesday morning.

Now there will be voting among the films included in the shortlist. The final nomination announcement (top 5) will be on January 17. On March 2, the Oscar Awards ceremony will be held, which will be hosted by Conan O’Brien.

According to the shortlist, the film ‘Shambala’ recommended from Nepal has been eliminated from the race. 85 films, including the Nepali film directed by Meen Bahadur Bham, competed in the international feature category. Looking at the list of shortlists, Asia has been shocked this time. In the shortlist, only the Thai film ‘How to Make Millions Before Grandma Dies’ has been selected from Asia.
