Kathmandu. The popular Nepali folk pop band Kandara is going on a world music tour from January 4, 2025. The band will start the tour from London.
Kandara will captivate the audience with his popular songs at Indigo in London’s Otu Arena, which has a capacity of more than 2,700 spectators. World-famous bands such as Level Four Two, The Wailers, Guns to Roses, Yiruma and American rapper Rick Ross have performed live there.
Announcing the London tour, Kandara said, ‘This program is not just a musical concert but a global festival of Nepali music and culture. Don’t miss the opportunity to witness the historic moment. The dignified presence of all Nepali parents, brothers and sisters living in Britain will make this historic musical moment a celebration. Let’s refresh old memories by dancing to the tunes of Lake’s Hey Maya and Hong Kong Pokhara.’
Apart from the UK, the dates of the tour have not yet been announced. It is expected that the band will also perform in Dubai, UAE in January. A music tour has been scheduled for Japan in February, Australia and New Zealand in March and April, America in May, Canada in June and Europe from July to August. Kandara said that although the month has been decided, the exact date is yet to be decided.
Seven US cities are set to host the event. “This international tour will bring Kandara’s timeless songs and new symphonies to a global audience, representing Nepal’s rich cultural heritage and its evolving music scene,” said Kandara.
The band is currently on a musical campaign with the ‘Phila Ghardesh Ani Pardesh’ campaign. The band, which has already performed concerts in Kathmandu and Pokhara, is also preparing to perform in Ilam, Chitwan and Butwal.
