Natikaji National Music Award Announcement

Kathmandu. Last year’s ‘Natikaji National Music Award’ has been announced. This honor will be given to 10 artists and a music institution.

In the announcement program organized by Natikaji Smriti Samaj on Wednesday, it was informed that various authors, musicians and media persons will be given honors and awards in various categories.

President of the society, Senior Musician Shambhujit Baskota presented Natikaji National Music Award to lyricist Nagendra Thapa, folk singer Bom Bahadur Karki, artist Dhan Lama, music promoter Prakash Saimy, classical musician Gyanuradha Gorkhali, lyricist duo Buddhaveer Lama and Kiran KC (Krodhi), singer Diwakar Khadka and singer Yashoda Parajuli. He said that Natikaji National Contribution Award will be given to Itahari, Sangeet Sadhana Pratishthan and writer Bimal Bhaukaji. He said that the National Music Award will be given to singer Himal Sagar, singer Bindu Periyar, lyricist B Pandey, composer Ashish Aviral, arranger Samrat Thapa.

According to Baskota, the president of the society informed that the awards will be given to recordist Bhola Paudel, singer David Shankar, singer Smita Dahal and musician Kalyan Singh for national talent and Ramesh Pokharel for classical music.

According to the society, awards will be given to folk singers Ram Prasad Awasthi, Sushma Shahi Thakuri and Krishna Vick for national folk music, and journalists Sushil Aryal and Sukrit Nepal for art and journalism.

President Baskota said that a special program will be organized on the occasion of Natikaji’s 99th birth anniversary and awards will be given to various creators, musicians and media persons. Mentioning that Natikaji is an ocean of songs, music, he says that his contribution is being tried by the lively society.
