Kathmandu. The fourth edition of Nepal Rural Film Festival will be held in Baisakh. It is said that the purpose of the festival organized by Celebrity Nepal is to promote Nepali films to the rural market along with tourism promotion.
Films based on original rural stories will be included in the festival. Film registration has been invited for the festival. Documentaries, short films, feature films and language films will be included in the festival.
The festival is going to be held with the original slogan of ‘own village, own place, own language, own movie’. The films selected by the jury team will be screened in the latest technology and the best will be awarded.
Interactions and workshops will also be held at the festival, which has been organized for four years. The festival, which was held in Laprak in Gorkha for the first year, was held in Bhakundebesi in Kavre for the second time and Ramechhap for the third edition.
Raghunath Sapkota, the chairman of the organizing organization, said that the main objective of the festival is to attract the audience to Nepali original films, to make them habit of watching films regularly, to bring the films made on rural stories to the world and to promote the language, art, culture and tourism of the local area. Film Development Board will also cooperate in the festival.
