Kathmandu. The Nepali music video ‘Aamako Mamta’ has become the runner-up in the ‘International Shorts, Documentary, Wave Series, Music Video’ category of the 18th Ayodhya Film Festival held in India.
Directed by Vidhan Karki, this music video competed with more than 100 foreign videos. “This achievement has given us the energy to compete on the international stage as well,” said Karki.
Films, shorts, documentaries, web-series, and music videos from more than 100 countries competed in the festival. Filmmakers from countries like India, China, Nepal, America, South Korea, Australia, and Britain participated in the festival.
Directed by Karki, the song features Ramakrishna Dhakal’s soulful voice, Arjun Subedi’s lyrics and Arjun Pokharel’s music. The video, produced by Nakshatra Productions, presents an emotional story of an orphan’s struggle, parents’ love, pain of separation and success.
The video features Sunil Thapa, Nizhwala Gautam, Gaurav Pahari, Sridev Biel and Dyan Gautam. Cinematography by Utsav Dahal, Editing by Vikas Dahal, Production Design by Deepen Gautam and Art Direction by Manisha Pokharel.
