Kathmandu. The release date of the film ‘Juna’, which gives a message of discouraging child marriage and violence against women, has been fixed. Director Jeevan Century said that this film will be screened nationwide on January 25.
The film stars Asmita Dhakal, Krishna Prasad Dhital, Bhatsak Khanal, Rashmi Bhatt, Kamal Bohora, Asmita Basnet, Khagendra Neupane, Vikas Anand, Indra BK and Keshav Adhikari. He said that the film has absorbed the theme of ‘child marriage is a social crime’.
‘Through this film, we are trying to convey the message that evil practices like violence against women, child marriage, mismatched marriage, polygamy, rape, forced marriage, and chaupadi should be ended’, director Century said. He said that the film will help the government’s goal of ending child marriage by 2030.
Deepak Prasad Ghimire has invested in the film, which was shot at Salija Okhreni in Parbat. The film has story by Raj Bahadur Sane, music by Bibi Anuragi and Ramesh Century, lyrics by Jeevan Century and Bhim Bahadur Poudel, voice by Anju Pant, Purnakala Bisi and Yadurai Lakandri and cinematography by Rameshwar Humagai.
