John Abraham wrote a letter to the minister of Nepal asking him to stop the elephant competition in Chitwan

Kathmandu. Famous Indian film actor John Abraham has written a letter to Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Badri Pandey saying that animals are being mistreated in the name of elephant festival to be held in Chitwan.

According to the Times of India, actor Abraham mentioned in the letter that the elephant was beaten, forced to run, ride and play polo and football during the festival.

Abraham’s letter to Minister Pandey states that ‘these intelligent and sensitive animals endure physical and emotional suffering during the game.

‘Whoever has seen the beauty of elephants in their natural habitat. I can say that they are also symbols of strength and wisdom. They are national treasures in many ways. Nepal has an opportunity to take a leadership role by protecting and respecting these beautiful animals’, the letter states.

In the letter, actor Abraham has asked Minister Pandey to postpone the elephant competition. “Not only that, I believe that Nepal will move forward towards maintaining the value of kindness and respect for all living beings and building a common future,” Abraham said.

Nepal has a special place in my heart. I am confident that such a bright future will come from respect of citizens, love for wild animals and protection of unique natural beauty,’ he said.

It is mentioned that elephants are beaten to death during the festival and used for tourist rides. John Abraham is a famous Bollywood actor. His films have earned well in the theaters of Nepal.
