Kathmandu. A 5-day ‘Filmmaking Masterclass’ has been completed under the auspices of the Film Development Board. A competition was also held between short films made by 58 film students and filmmakers participating in the class.
The film was made in 24 hours by forming a group among the participants. In which the short film ‘Cigarette’ directed by RD Lama won awards in categories including direction, acting, art, screenplay and production. ‘Guilty’ won the awards for sound, cinematography and editing.
Film director Purnendu Jha, Dipendra Gautam, cinematographer Susan Prajapati and producer Gautam Dhimal were among the judges of the competition. The class was organized with the aim of enhancing the ability to think and produce scenes like English and other foreign films.
Chairman Dinesh DC presented awards and certificates to the participants and winners at the ceremony held in the auditorium of the board. The program was conducted at Cinepal Studio, Bhaisepati.
