Construction materials provided by ‘Chakkapanja 5’ to restore water supply in Dapcha

Kathmandu. The film ‘Chakkapanja 5’ extended a helping hand to restore water supply facilities in Dapcha in flood-affected Kavre. Producer and actor Deepakraj Giri and executive producer Nirmal Sharma provided the necessary materials for the construction of the stream at the ceremony organized on Sunday.

The flood that occurred in October damaged the drinking water stream and spring in Dapcha. Materials such as pipes have been provided on behalf of the film for the construction of water supply to one and a half hundred households. The stream will be built in two weeks and the team of ‘Chakkapanja’ is scheduled to go to Dapcha again for the launch.

This year’s super hit film was shot in Dapcha. Our love for Dapcha is incomparable. It is not just film shooting, but we consider it as a responsibility towards the society.’

The film team provided the production materials to the ward president Bir Bahadur Lama. Ward president Lama also said that he will never forget the film’s contribution to Dapcha. The team of the film had earlier announced that they would provide assistance to Dapcha during the screening. Earlier, after the screening of ‘Chhakkapanja 4’, the producer had provided an ambulance to the Panauti Municipality of Kavre’s filming location.

According to the Department of Water and Meteorology, the highest rainfall occurred in the valley during the 54 years since the government started keeping rainfall records.
