Kathmandu. The Golden Nepali Film Award has been distributed in San Francisco, USA. Various Nepali films, artists and technicians were awarded in the first edition of the awards held on Sunday evening according to Nepali time.
Actor Shiv Shrestha was awarded a long service award for his contribution to Nepali film acting. ‘Pujar Sarki’ was declared the best film. ‘Gaon Inga Bato’ won the Critics Award. ‘Witch’s House’ won the Jury Award.
Dinesh Raut was declared the best director for ‘Pujar Sarki’. While Anmol KC won the best actor award for ‘Furky Farky’, Aanchal Sharma was declared the best actress for ‘Degree Maila’.
Pradeep Khadka was declared popular actor and Keki Adhikari was declared popular actress. Dipendra Lama was declared the best writer for ‘Nango Village’, Alok Shukla was declared the best cinematographer from ‘Nango Village’, and Mitra D Gurung was declared the best editor for ‘Upahar’.
Pramod Agrahari for ‘Agastya’ won Best Supporting Actor, Varsha Sivakoti for ‘Paradeshi 2’ Best Supporting Actress, Prakash Saput for ‘Boksi Ko Ghar’ Best Music Musician, SD Yogi for ‘Nango Village’ Best Singer, Review Officer for ‘Boksi Ko Ghar’ Best Singer .
It is said that the best films were selected from the competition of the films released between 01 July 2080 and mid-June 2081 and provided to the organizers. Actors like Neer Shah, Shiv Shrestha, Bhuvan KC, Dipashree Niraula, Sunil Thapa, Anmol KC, Keki Adhikari, Aanchal Sharma, Kedar Ghimire, Jitu Nepal, Niti Shah, Varsha Sivakoti and others went to America to participate in the award.
Himalaya Foundation Corp., Golden State Movie Makers LLC, California’s flagship project, the award was completed.
