Kathmandu. A 10-day ‘drone pilot’ workshop for cinematographers of Nepali films has started. The first workshop organized by the Film Development Board was inaugurated by Board Chairman Dinesh DC.
Starting the workshop, DC expressed his belief that the use of new technology will contribute to quality film production. 25 cinematographers are participating in the workshop.
The DC said that although drones were used in filming, the workshop was organized to meet the shortage of skilled people to operate them. Cinematographers Pradyumna Mishra, Mankrishna Maharjan, Neeraj Kandel, still imagers Rajbhai Suwal and Kuveer Dangol, documentary filmmaker Shanta Nepali and 25 others are participating.
Drone Hub Nepal coordinated the workshop. Praveen Bhattarai, a drone expert, police inspector and Prabhu Helica pilot are giving training.
Board employees will also be given special training on communication skills. Entrepreneur Nirvana Chaudhary and Chairman DC will give a speech to the employees about life skills. Chairman DC said that some type of work will be aggressively continued every day until Baisakh 1.
