‘Sanumaya’ starring Miruna Magar, Music by SD Yogi

Kathmandu. The ‘Sanumaya’ music video, produced in collaboration with Visual Arts and Toua Studio, has been released. The video presents the deep feelings of identity, struggle and love through a love story based on the cultural background of the Bhutanese Nepali community.

Directed by Vivek Rasaili, the video features Miruna Magar, Deepak Rasaili and Prem Subba. Miruna’s character reflects the struggle between her love and her career, which portrays the ambivalence and difficulties arising from the lack of identity in the society.

Miruna has played the role of a woman from the Nepali-speaking Bhutanese community, who is forced to choose between her career and love. Her character vividly portrays the social pressures and personal conflicts that come with a lack of identity.

Rajon Thapa is the chief assistant director and Ujjwal Joshi is the cinematographer of the video, which is executive produced by Vijay Basyal. The song has been released through Visual Arts Studio’s YouTube channel. Composed by SD Yogi, the lyrics are written by Ram Aviral Bista. Yogi and scientist Parajuli has given voice.
