Kathmandu. Bollywood playback singer Sonu Nigam’s Christmas concert is the talk of the town in Nepal. Little known to the latest generation, Nigam also acted in the film ‘Love in Nepal’ which was shot in Nepal. The songs he sang for films including ‘Simana’ are popular.
With the song he sang at the Kathmandu concert on Wednesday evening. Former Miss Nepal and actress Jharna Bajracharya, actress Shobhita Sinkhada and others have acted in the film ‘Love in Nepal’, which he acted in. While the corporation was being discussed in Kathmandu, actress and Oshomargi Sinkha recalled the time when she was shooting in Pokhara.
While sharing the video of shooting in Pokhara, she said that it was a very valuable moment for her to work with a talented artist like Sonu Nigam, to shoot in a beautiful environment and to experience his love and curiosity for Osho up close.
Remembering that Sonu had a deep curiosity about Osho and he used to call her ‘Oshowali’, Sobhita said that she felt proud to be known by her guru’s name. In the video shared by Shobhita on Facebook, there is a scene of a dialogue in a moving bus, where Shobhita plays the role of a model. Rajpal Yadav is also seen there.
Shobhita writes on Facebook :
As the discussion of Sonu Nigam is going on in Nepal now, my old memories with him have been refreshed. We were together in Pokhara for many days for the shooting of the film ‘Love in Nepal’. I played the role of a model in this film. The time spent with him during the shooting was very special. Sonuji had a deep curiosity about Osho and used to call me ‘Osho Wali’. I feel proud to be known by the name of my Guru Osho.
Now when he came to Nepal, many ascetic friends had asked him to invite him to come to Tapovan. I was in frequent contact with his secretary Saira. But due to the busyness of the program, he could not make the time as he came to Kathmandu only for one day and returned yesterday afternoon. Recently, he posted a video about Osho and discussed the changes in his life after reading Osho. There is talk of coming to Tapovan next time.
Working with a talented artist like Sonu Nigam, shooting in the picturesque environment of Pokhara and experiencing his love and curiosity for Osho up close was a very precious moment for me. Hearty congratulations to Sonu Nigam for warming up the cold weather of Kathmandu and to the organizers for making the program a grand success.
