‘Kandara’ will release a new song ‘The Song Up Hope’ next Saturday

Kathmandu. On October 24, ‘Kandara’ band wrote musical history in a club in Thamel. The musical group established in Pokhara 32 years ago created an unprecedented moment by performing Melody and Mithas Patra Pokhen, Kathmandu for the first time.

Making the new year 2025 even more special, the band is preparing to release a new song ‘Hunecha: The Song of Hope’. The band is going to release this song on the occasion of New Year, January 4, i.e. next Saturday (December 20). From the same date, the band is performing in London, UK and starting an international tour.

The lyrics and music of the song have been prepared by the band’s drummer Sunil Thapa. The song is going to be presented as a message of hope and inspiration. It is said that this song will emphasize the idea that every person should improve their thinking, behavior and conduct to bring positive change in the country.

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli also wished the success of this song with his signature. Kandara Band’s ‘Lekki Hey Maya’, ‘Bideshier Gayin She’, ‘Chanchle Kanchichiko’, ‘Vedi Gothaima’, ‘Hongkong Pokhara’, ‘Tagarom Rumal’ and ‘Bichra Ma’ are very popular.

Kandra’s current lineup consists of Vivek Shrestha on vocals, Sunil Thapa on drums, Dev Lama on lead guitar, Pankaj Jha on bass guitar, Avinash Singer on madal, and Umesh Thapa on keyboards. In particular, Sunil Thapa on drums has been a member of the band since its inception.

With the aim of promoting internal and external tourism, the band has successfully performed in Gandaki, Koshi and Bagmati provinces as part of the Nepal Tour under the slogan ‘Phila Ghardesh Ani Pardesh’ to visit the country and understand the country.

The band, which is about to start a foreign tour from the UK, has scheduled to perform in Australia and New Zealand in March-April, America in May, Canada in June, and various countries in Europe in July-August and then in Japan in August-September. In addition, there is a program of musical performances in Qatar and Singapore.
