Kathmandu. ‘China Film Day’ is going to be organized in Kathmandu with the aim of promoting and exchanging filmmaking experience and plans between Nepali and Chinese film makers.
A delegation of Chinese filmmakers and artists is scheduled to come to Nepal for the ceremony to be held on January 9. Kathmandu-based Nepal Film and Cultural Academy and China Film Administration of China are going to organize the program jointly.

Pathak said that the Chinese team will also discuss filming in Nepal with the Nepal Tourism Board. There will also be a meeting with the Film Development Board regarding cooperation. “There will also be a discussion about how Nepal and China can cooperate in the joint production of films,” he said.
They are also planning to visit the filming location including Kathmandu Durbar Square. It is said that the film and actors to be screened on China Day will be decided in a few days.
The team arriving in Kathmandu on January 8 is scheduled to return on January 10. The Chinese team will participate in the film festival in Dhaka, Bangladesh after Nepal. Pathak said that after the China Film Day in Nepal, preparations are being made to hold a film festival in China in the near future.
