Kathmandu. In the year 2024, we see animated movies in Hollywood, filled with stories of heartbreak, mutations, gladiators and witches. In the new year 2025, Hollywood is expected to bring a film in a new story.
The upcoming films will be sequels, reboots and expansions of the franchise. This means that Hollywood wants to bring commercially successful films to the audience. This is also a proof of the collective will of the audience.
Although by no means perfect, there will be some big movies coming out in Hollywood in 2025 that will have the world’s eyes on them.
Back in action
Two big Hollywood stars Cameron Diaz and Joe Fox will be seen in this Netflix spy film. Diaz stayed away from the limelight of Hollywood action films for 10 years. Oscar winner Fox is returning to film after recovering from health problems. This pair was together in the 2014 musical film ‘Annie’. ‘Back in Action’ will start streaming on January 17.
The Fantastic Four : FFirst steps
In the year 2025, three films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) are being prepared. ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ will come in February, ‘Thunderbolts’ in May and ‘The Fantastic Four: First Steps’ on July 25. In the latest film starring Pedro Pascal, ‘Stranger Things’ famed Joseph Quinn, ‘The Bears’ famed Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Vanessa Kirby, this film is the studio’s attempt to bring the story of superpowers to life in cinema.
Superman
Director James Gunn is bringing the story based on the comic book to the big screen in the form of DC Universe. The film will star David Korenswet and ‘Marvel’s Mrs Maisel’ Rachel Brosnahan. This month, the public teaser showed a brief plot of the film and the main character Clark Kent’s dog. This film will be released on 11 July.
Mickey 17
It’s been six years since visionary South Korean director Bong Joon Ho captivated audiences with his Oscar-winning ‘Parasite’. His latest film ‘Mickey 17’ will finally release in April after much delay. The film starring Robert Pattinson looks like a sci-fi comedy. The main character is entrusted with a dangerous mission in space. It is said that ‘Miki 17’ will be released on April 18.
Jurassic andthe world : reincarnation
Speaking of sequels, ‘Jurassic Park’ stars Scarlett Johansson and Jonathan Bailey, who recently gained global success from ‘Wicked’, in the latest series of dinosaurs. ‘Jurassic World: Rebirth’ will be screened on July 2.

Exactly one year after the release of the first part, this year’s biggest musical film is sure to attract the audience. ‘Hit Broadway’ is the second series of the musical, which was adapted from the novel by Gregory Maguire in June 1995. The name ‘For Good’ has been decided after one of the original songs of the novel. Elphaba and Glinda will meet as they struggle to find their place in today’s terrible and evil world. ‘Wicked: For Good’ will hit the theaters on November 21, 2025.
