Kathmandu. The trailer of the film ‘Karsang’ starring Dayahang Rai is getting attractive views on YouTube. Less than 24 hours after its release, the trailer is streaming in the second place on YouTube’s Nepal Trending Movies section.
In the first place is the teaser of Salman Khan starrer Bollywood movie ‘Sikander’. The third is the trailer of the Varun Dhawan starrer action film ‘Baby John’ and the fourth is the teaser of the awaited Hollywood superhero film ‘Superman’.
Talking about the trailer of ‘Karsang’, it is receiving positive response from the audience. Appreciating the performances of Dayahang and Jitu Nepal, the audience expressed their hope to see the story of Sherpa community closely.
Director Yam Sherpa said, “We have expected this level of love from the audience in the cinema hall. We have made the film to fulfill this love and expectation shown by the audience.”
In the trailer, the lack of characters, society’s belief in jhankri vidya, tradition, financial transactions, administration, boycott by society, anger, malice, deviation and split in the family due to society’s decisions are shown. Also, the main character’s struggle and compromise for self-respect is shown.
Director Sherpa said that the film, which will be released on 26 January, is based on a rural setting and a family story. The film also stars Dia Maske, Buddhi Tamang, Srishti Gautam, Doma Hyolmo, Prem Lopchan and Surveer Pandit along with Srijan Ninglekhu.
Produced by Yarsa Films and Purushottam Pradhan Films, the film is produced and cinematographer by Purushottam Pradhan. Govind Bohra is the co-producer. Angchiring Sherpa has worked as an executive producer.
