Kathmandu. ‘Pushpa 2’ has become the highest grossing Indian film of all time at the Indian box office. According to Pinkvilla, in 7 years, 8 months and 3 days, the Allu Arjun starrer has surpassed the record of ‘Baahubali 2’ for highest gross collection.
On Saturday alone, the film earned 60 million rupees at the Indian box office. By the time of preparing this news, the portal has mentioned that the film has crossed the mark of 2 crores on Sunday, surpassing ‘Baahubali 2’. “By Sunday, it had surpassed that gain,” Pinkvilla wrote.
‘Pushpa 2’ has earned 1345 crore across India till Saturday. Ever since the release of the first part in 2021, ‘Pushpa 2’ was considered a strong contender to surpass the record of ‘Baahubali 2’ after receiving huge acclaim in India’s Hindi belt. The film grossed well in the Hindi-speaking states.
‘Pushpa 2’ joins the club of twenty films to claim the title of highest grosser of all time in India’s box office history, which are listed below. There may be some films before ‘Mother India’ (1957) which claimed to earn more. However, it is difficult to verify because of box office data. The list starts with Kismat (1943), which is considered to be the first multi-crore film in India. At that time, it earned 1 crore from markets including Pakistan, Bangladesh and Myanmar.
