Kathmandu. Film Development Board has formed 9 committees. These include scholarship selection recommendation committee, box office system implementation and monitoring committee, film international promotion committee, financial support recommendation committee, women filmmaker empowerment committee.
In addition, there are Tribal Tribe Mother Tongue Promotion Committee, Film Screening Monitoring Committee, Story Museum Evaluation and Selection Committee and Mofasal Film Evaluation and Selection Committee.
All committees are chaired by board members. The member secretary and assistant officer are the employees of the board. Ravichandra Adhikari, Prof. is the coordinator of the scholarship selection recommendation committee. Dr. Dhruv Karki, journalist Raghunath Sapkota and film director Deepa Pandey.
Box office system implementation and monitoring committee coordinator is Khetulal BC, members include board member officer, film association general secretary Surendra Kumar Thapa, producer association representative, internal revenue department representative Pavitra Banjade, home ministry representative and board officer Praveen Pandey. An engineer from the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology will be an invited member of this committee.
The coordinator of the international promotion committee is the board member officer, the members are Rohini Prasad Khanal, the representative of the tourism board, the representative supplementary officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, film actors Santosh Lohani and Kewal Tamang and journalist Vishnu Sharma. Its member secretary is Rajesh Kumar Thapa, member secretary of the board.
Board member BC, member secretary Thapa and member secretary Prabhakar Bhattarai have been nominated as the coordinator of the economic support recommendation committee. Kiki Adhikari is the coordinator of Women Filmmakers Empowerment Committee, filmmakers Swastima Khadka, Namrata Kharel, Saraswati Ghimire, Durga Periyar, Kalpana Acharya and journalist Geeta Adhikari are members.
Sunil Manandhar is the coordinator of tribal tribe mother tongue promotion committee, board member BC is co-coordinator, members are Rohit Rumba, Jasu Gurung, Sonu Tharu, Kumar Moktan and Apsara Samal is member-secretary.
The coordinators of the Film Screening Monitoring Committee are Board Member Raju Khatri Chhetri, Central Film Screening Committee and one representative member each from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Dinesh Khanal from the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology and Board Officer Harisinh Raikhola as the Secretary.
Board member BC is the coordinator of Story Bank evaluation and selection committee, filmmakers Shiv Dhakal and Jagdishwar Thapa are among the members. The coordinator of Mofasal’s film evaluation and selection committee is board member BC, the members are Kishore Sambamfe, Suchitra Shrestha and Nahkul Khadka.
