Film premieres and award ceremonies canceled after wildfires in Hollywood

Kathmandu. While the eastern region of America is under the grip of snow, the western coastal region is under the grip of devastating wildfires. According to the Hollywood media, tens of thousands of people have been affected by the uncontrollable wildfires that spread in Los Angeles, California.

Los Angeles is also known as the home of Hollywood. The premiere and awards ceremony held in Hollywood have been canceled after the fire in the Pacific Palisades and strong winds made it difficult to control the fire.

Amazon MGM Studios and Universal Studios have announced that the scheduled premieres of ‘Unstoppable’ and ‘Wolf Man’ have been postponed. Paramount and Max have canceled the Wednesday premieres of ‘Better Man’ and ‘The Pit’.

“Due to the dangerous conditions affecting Los Angeles, we are canceling tomorrow’s premiere of ‘Better Man,'” a Paramount spokesperson said in a statement. We encourage everyone to stay safe, follow instructions and orders from local authorities and government agencies.’

HBO and Max also said in a similar statement to be vigilant about the fire spreading in the Palisades area. They have mentioned that the premiere of ‘The Pit’, which was supposed to be held on Wednesday, has been stopped.

Netflix has also canceled the program about the movie ‘Emilian Perez’. On Tuesday morning, people have been instructed to rescue people from the surrounding houses after a fire broke out in an area larger than 200 acres of dry bush in the Palisades area. The weather department has issued a warning saying that the storm called Santa Anna will continue this week.

Meanwhile, the Screen Actors Guild Awards announced that the nomination ceremony itself has been postponed after Los Angeles was affected by the severe wildfires in Southern California.
