Fire in Hollywood: Stars’ homes destroyed, studios closed, Oscar nominations postponed

Kathmandu. Hollywood city Los Angeles has been severely affected by the devastating fire. According to the Los Angeles Times, five people have died and more than 2,000 structures have been destroyed as of Thursday morning in the Hollywood Hills.

According to Hollywood media, the houses of Hollywood stars Billy Crystal, Mandy Murray, Paris Hilton, Jamie Lee Curtis have been destroyed by fire. The fire that spread through the Pacific Palisades reached the Hollywood Hills on Wednesday night. Other artists living around there also had to leave their homes.

The largest fire has burned about 12,000 acres in the Pacific Palisades. The area is a scenic spot between Santa Monica and Malibu, home to many television and music stars. Mandy Moore, who lost her home in the Altadena neighborhood near Pasadena, posted an emotional post on Instagram.

Paris Hilton has shared a note expressing her grief over the loss of her home, including footage of her house burning down. Actor Mark Hamill, ‘The Princess Bride’ actor Cary Elwes also posted a video of the burning house. Other stars with homes in the area include Adam Sandler, Ben Affleck, Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg.

Oscar nomination moved, Studios closed

After the fire spread to the Hollywood Hills, the nearby Dolby Theater was at risk. As a result, the Oscar nomination process has been pushed back two days. The international feature shortlist screening set for Wednesday night has been put on hold for now. The Critics’ Choice Awards have also been moved to two weeks later.

Universal Studios after closing

Due to the risk, Paramount, Netflix and other studios have canceled the premiere of some films. Walt Disney has announced that post-production and production programs have been suspended, closing its headquarters in Burbank. The production of series like ‘Grey’s Anatomy’ and ‘Doctor Odyssey’ has been stopped. Universal Studios and Universal City Walk are closed. Earlier, Universal had closed the studio during the covid epidemic.
