Kathmandu. The release date of Suraksha Pant’s film ‘Khel’ has been fixed. The producer released the poster on Sunday and announced the next 12 Baisakh as the release date.
Along with Pant, the film also stars Hena Nagarkoti, Monica Thapa, Samapika Gautam, and Nikita Acharya in lead roles. The film is jointly directed by Anurag Pradhan, who has co-directed some Bollywood films, and Aastha Shrestha, who is also known as a co-director in Nepal.
The film also stars Bholaraj Sapkota, Mithila Sharma, Sarita Giri, Kiran Shrestha, Suhani Khadka, Bhavan Ghimire, Sujan Ghimire and others. The poster, designed by Royal Bhimsen, depicts a girl in college life.
The five-pointed star and the dark environment seen in the background of the poster can be understood that this film is related to mystery, horror or thrill genre. Above the poster is written ‘It’s been 6 years since the disappearance’.
The film combines the folklore, tradition and spirituality of Nepal with thriller and suspense storyline and presents the story of 4 friends who are being followed by a terrible incident from the past. They have to face horror and supernatural events. In this, it is tried to show how bad it is in our life if we don’t play any game honestly.
Actress Suraksha Pant said that she is happy to work in a quality film. About the film, she said, ‘It is a story of friends who live in a hostel in Kathmandu for studies and escape from it after getting hurt in real life while playing a game based on spirituality. I have worked as the head of a team of four girl friends.’
Producer Louisraj Maharjan said that this film is ready with the technology that can compete with the big film industry of the world. For this, he said that some equipment including camera lenses which are not available in Nepal have been brought from India.
Produced by Sirupate Cuts Pvt Ltd, the executive producer of the film is Louisraj Maharjan. Ashishraj Maharjan is the producer and Kunalraj Gurung and Rahishraj Maharjan are co-producers. The story is written by Ashishraj Maharjan. Screenplay is written by Abhitendra and Anurag Pradhan. The dialogue is written by Vishnu Gayre. Cinematography is done by Roshan Rai and Sanjay Lama.
Editing is done by Ashishraj Maharjan and sound design is by Vikal Pradhan. Color combination is by Rajendra Moktan, production design by Kishore Nepal, costume design by Alex Basukla, makeup by Dipu Paudel. Yamaprasad Oli has taken over the responsibility of production manager. The distribution of the movie will be done by Decen and the publicity design will be done by Trident Concept.
