Kathmandu. Vasant Vityasi Thapa has been re-elected as the president of the Songwriters Association. He was elected for the second term from the 15th general assembly and 7th session held on Saturday.
Ramesh Koirala as the vice-chairman of the newly formed committee, Tika Rai as the general secretary, Sheetal Kadambini as the secretary, and Chetan as the treasurer have also been re-elected. All these were unanimously elected.
Jeevan Mukarung, Ramesh Dahal, Kamal Paudel, Govind Shringkhala, Devi Parajuli, Bishnu Bhandari were elected as members.
Lyricist Rajendra Thapa, former minister and lyricist SP Koirala, general secretary of the music association Suman Pandit, president of Narayan Gopal Memorial Foundation Deepak KC, lyricist Yogendramani Dahal, Shubh Mukarung and others participated in the ceremony.
