Kathmandu. Suhana Thapa has been signed as the top actress of the film of the same name, which is based on the story writer Guru Prasad Mainali’s work ‘Pralal Ago’.
A written agreement has been signed between Sushil Pokharel and Thapa on behalf of the production company Hariom Cine Makers. He has also given this information through social media.
A few days ago, the Mainali Katha Award Trust had given permission for the production of the film on the condition of ‘not spoiling the essence’. ‘Straw fire’ is collected in Mainali’s story collection ‘Naso’.
In the film, Suhana is acting as Gounthali, the main female character of the story. It is a privilege for me to work in Amar Kriti. That’s why I signed a film outside the home for the first time”, said Thapa.
The role of Chame, the main male character, is yet to be decided. The film will be directed by Laxman Sunar of ‘Bulaki’ fame. The performance is scheduled for Dashain 2082. Earlier, Pratap Subba has also made a film under this name. The story of ‘Straw Fire’ is about to be adapted for the second time.
Producer Pokharel said that this time the location, presentation and screenplay will be presented in a different way in the film. In the story ‘Straw Fire’, two characters Chame and Gauthali’s quarrel is presented.
Producer Pokharel has previously produced the films ‘Maidan’, ‘Jiwandata’, ‘Nigraani’, ‘Jai Shiv Shankar’, ‘Love Sab’, ‘Radhe’ and ‘Yatra’.
