Kathmandu. The release date of the film ‘Juna’, which gives a message against child marriage and violence against women, has been fixed. According to the producer, this film will be released on January 25.
The producer released the poster on Wednesday depicting actress Asmita Dhakal. In the poster, she is shown in the role of a girl forced into child marriage. She is in the role of a girl wearing vermilion, pote and bala.
‘Juna’ has been produced under the banner of Godavari Film Production and Research Center Pvt. The film is directed by Jeevan Century. Along with Asmita, Krishna Prasad Dhital, Bhatsak Khanal, Rashmi Bhatt, Kamal Bohora, Asmita Basnet, Khagendra Neupane, Vikas Anand, Indra BK and Keshav Adhikari are also acting.
Director Century said that the film was made with the message that child marriage is a social crime and it should be stopped. ‘Juna’ is a film of historical and unique nature. Through this film, an attempt has been made to address the national need to end evil practices such as violence against women, child marriage, mismatched marriages, polygamy, rape, forced marriage, chaupadi, prevalent in Nepali society,’ he said.
He said that the film will help the government to end child marriage by 2030. Deepak Prasad Ghimire has invested in the film, which was shot at Salija Okhreni in Parbat.
The film has a story by Raj Bahadur Sane, music by Bibi Anuragi and Ramesh Century. The film was shot by Rameshwar Humagai.
