Kathmandu. Navina Silwal ‘Khuili’ has brought a new episode of web series ‘Phoolmaya’ which is produced and directed by herself.
In the new episode of this socially themed series, the struggle of inter-caste marriage is shown. The top character of the series, Phulmaya, belongs to the Vishwakarma community. Director Silwal told Online Khabar that the caste and social discrimination she had to face when she ran away and married a supposedly upper caste young man was depicted in this episode. Silwal herself played the role of Phulmaya.
She also said that the love relationship of female homosexuals (lesbians) was also presented in this episode. ‘Society does not accept same-sex love relationships. Through this, I have tried to expose the pain they experience in love,’ said Navina.
Naveena Silwal, known by the nickname ‘Khuili’ in comedy, is also popular in folk singing. She has worked in many double singing and comedy serials and produced the social series ‘Phoolmaya’ under her own writing and direction. This series has been made public through his YouTube channel ‘Naveena Khuili’.
It is my dream to make a series under my own writing and direction. Earlier I used to do comedy, everyone liked it. He also showed interest in double singing,’ she said, ‘I made Phoolmaya while pursuing my dream of making a series based on my own thoughts on social issues.’
Navina has also received an award for the character ‘Phoolmaya’. Mukund Thapa, Ravi Giri, Vidya Karki, Naveena Silwal, Saroj Dahal, Melina Thakuri, Akriti Neupane, Ramesh Sapkota, Meena JC, Dinesh Tamang, Raj Tamang and others have acted in ‘Phoolmaya’.
