Kathmandu. Hollywood actor Brad Pitt and actress Angelina Jolie have divorced after an eight-year legal battle. According to People magazine, the couple signed divorce papers on December 30, finalizing their terms.
Eight years ago, Jolie filed for divorce from Pitt. She and her children left all the property they shared with Pitt. Since then, her focus has been on peace and healing for the family,’ Jolie’s attorney, James Simon, said in a statement.
‘This is only one part of the process that started eight years ago. “To be honest, Angelina is tired, but she is relieved that this part is over,” he said.
In 2016, the pair made world media headlines after an altercation on a private plane that resulted in physical damage. It is said that during the fight, Pitt hit a child in the face causing injuries.
It was also claimed that Pitt was sued after he ‘grabbed Jolie by the head and dragged her away’. But it was revealed that the subject of the case was Pitt and Jolie in 2022.
Jolie’s lawyer claimed in April that Pitt had been physically abusive since before 2016. Pitt also accused Jolie of not allowing him to sell his half of the winery.
