Kathmandu. The popular folk rock band Nepathya is now not only heard, but is also coming as a reading material. Three and a half decades after its establishment, the advance booking plan for the book based on Nepathya’s biography is opening from Wednesday, the very beginning of 2025.

In the book, one can read the experience of Nepathya’s birth, ups and downs and struggles in search of songs. It also includes information on how the popularity gained from music can be used for the overall benefit of Nepali society. According to Nepathya, the book presents not only the bright side of the band but also the dark side and learning.
Author Girish Giri has prepared this book based on two decades of association and experience with the band. In the translation of writer Giri, Ani Choing Dolma’s biography ‘Fulko Anonma’ and Kulchandra Gautam’s ‘Autobiography’ have been published. He is also the author of the books ‘Birganj: My City’s Story’ and ‘Satyamohan’.
‘Being a fan of the band during my student days, then becoming an art journalist, the opportunity to stay close to Nepathya in chronological order gave me the opportunity to get to know many aspects of the band,’ says Giri.
“The book, which stands in the genre of non-narrative biography, not only tells the intimate story of the Nepathya band, it can also be expected to provide a useful dose for those who want to study a period of Nepali music,” the statement said.
In the year 2022, Nepathya went on a month-long nationwide musical tour. The release states that the book will take the reader on a musical journey with the band. This book is brought by Publication Nepalaya.
