Harivansh starrer ‘Bhuthan’ will release on Baisakh 12

Kathmandu. The release date of actor Harivansh Acharya’s upcoming film ‘Bhuthan’ has been decided. This film, given the English name ‘The World’s Happiest Man’, will be released in Nepal on 12 Baisakh.

The story of ‘Bulbul’ fame Vinod Paudel’s story film, along with Acharya, Dayahang Rai, Anuradha Mazumdar, Pooja Chand, Richa Ghimire, Jose Pandey, Aditi Pyakurel, Tom Crane, Vimal Subedi and Hollywood actor Bruce Dern are also acting.

This is the first Nepali film made under Saag Aftra in which some Hollywood technicians have also worked. Paudel’s ‘Bulbul’, which was released in 2019, was recommended by Nepal at the 92nd Oscar Awards. Paudel won the National Film Award for Best Director.

One of the producers, Aviral Thapa, said that in the film, the audience will get to see Harivansh in a never-before-seen avatar. “I am sure that this will be a timeless film of Acharya’s life,” he said.

It will be distributed in Nepal by RR Films Production. Preparations are also being made to screen the film in theaters around the world on the same date with the involvement of distributors from Bollywood and Hollywood.

The film presents the story of Bhutanese people who are living in the US from Bhutan, India, Nepal and the country, and the story of the need to leave the country and the search for their roots. The shooting was completed in America a few months ago.

The main producers are Rajendra Thakurathi, Amitabh Joshi, Aviral Thapa, Sushank Mainali and Kirtana Banskota. The executive producers are Vikash Vito Adhikari, LN Adhikari, Kaushila Khanal Karmacharya, Ramesh Bhatt, Apar Shrestha, Bhuvan Pyakurel. The film has been produced by Thakurathi Bros, Vacant Light, Everest Entertainment USA in collaboration with Awaken Productions of Nepal and Mad Monkey Films of America.
