‘After success, I became a little arrogant, regretting some mistakes’

Kathmandu. Manisha Koirala is known among the audience for her acting that fills the character with life. She shone in Bollywood with ‘1942: A Love Story’, in an interview with Pinkvilla, she said that stardom has made her a bit arrogant and she regrets doing something wrong.

Manisha was asked how her personality evolved during a major transition in her career and if she felt like a different person then.

In response, she said, ‘Yes, I think I have changed. I thought I was a bit arrogant. Without much effort, when success comes quickly, then change is inevitable. When you are immature and young, you don’t understand much about yourself or the world.’

She said, ‘Then, the fact that I am the center of the world makes you a little arrogant. At that time, I also felt like I was the ‘center of the universe’.

The ‘Dil Se’ actress added, ‘I made some mistakes which I regret even today. But I don’t think I did any big mistake. I mean, if I made any mistakes in life, I made them for myself. I might have hurt someone else, yes.’

She said before, ‘Because I am a sensitive person. Also, a big factor in my life is my mother and father who, no matter how high I climb, bring me down to earth and say – stay on the ground.’

Manisha made her Bollywood debut in 1991 with Subhash Ghai’s film ‘Saudagar’. His latest work was the Netflix series ‘Hiramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’ directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The second series of this series is also being prepared.
